Can I export subtitles on the free version?
No. The free version cannot export. You can transcribe, edit, and preview subtitles inside the app, but exporting is blocked — including SRT/VTT files, burn-in video, Final Cut Pro titles, and Premiere/DaVinci project export. A Lifetime License unlocks all export options.
What's included in the free version?
You can download Subtitle Studio for free and use transcription and editing with no time limits. Export is not included — you cannot save SRT files, burn subtitles into video, or export project files until you purchase a Lifetime License.
Is this a subscription or one-time payment?
Subtitle Studio uses a one-time $69 lifetime license. There are no monthly fees, no per-minute charges, and no recurring billing.
How do I activate after purchase?
After checkout, you'll receive a 25-digit product key by email. Open Subtitle Studio, enter the key in the activation screen, and your license will be linked to your device.
Does the license work on Mac and Windows?
Yes. One Lifetime License works on both Mac and Windows and covers 1 device. If you need additional seats, contact us at hello@subtitlestudio.ai and we can discuss multi-seat options.
Are software updates included?
Yes. Your lifetime license includes software updates for the life of the product. Your license never expires and the version you have keeps working.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Major credit and debit cards are supported. Your email is collected during checkout so we can deliver your product key.
Does Subtitle Studio work without an internet connection?
Yes — completely. All transcription runs on your computer — Mac or Windows — using on-device AI models. Your videos never leave your machine, and the app works fully offline after the initial model download.
What subtitle formats are supported for export?
Subtitle Studio exports to SRT, which works with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. For Final Cut Pro users, we also export as a title layer — subtitles are imported directly into your timeline as native FCP titles.
